Football
In America, football was invented by one of the sports writer and a football coach; Walter C. Camp and he picked up the game from the five men team game soccer. But we still don’t know who and when it was really invented.
The Origin of the Word “Soccer”. This resulted in the name switching from “Soccer” and “Association Football”, to just “Football”; with the first documented case of the sport being called by the singular term “Football” coming in 1881, 18 years after it was first called “Soccer” or, officially, “Association Football”.
Barcelona is the world’s most popular soccer team, according to more than 100,000 Goal readers who took part in our recent global poll.
Juventus is Italy’s first soccer club that was formed during the last few years of the 19th century in 1897. Juventus is the team I support.
My favorite player is Paulo Bruno Exequiel Dybala also known as Dybala is 26 years old, he is an Argentine professional footballer who plays in Serie A club Juventus and the Argentina national team.
After beginning his career in Argentina with Instituto de Córdoba in 2011, Dybala moved to Italian club Palermo in 2012. He played three seasons for Palermo, two in Serie A and won Serie B in 2013–14. In 2015, he joined Juventus for an initial fee of €32 million and has since made over 100 appearances for the club, winning the double of Serie A and Coppa Italia in each of his three seasons.
Basketball
Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball through the defender’s hoop in diameter mounted 10 feet while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. A field goal is worth two points, unless made from behind the three-point line, when it is worth three. After a foul, timed play stops and the player fouled or designated to shoot a technical foul is given one or more one-point free throws. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins, but if regulation play expires with the score tied, an additional period of play (overtime) is mandated.
